Earlier on, I posted a request here for cheats that would allow you to finish a round with 80%, 90%, and 120%. I did so as I wanted access to the other possibilities (80-89% clears stage, 90-99% still picture reward, 120% ???). I also briefly wrote about wondering if there was anything between 101-119%. I have since learned a thing or two about "codecraft" (heh), and have made the codes I requested, with the help of what was in the code file already. Thanks to the original cheat makers, the ones who did the 100% one.
Code:
galpans2:0:060001D9:00:001:Finish round with 90% Now! (1/3)
galpans2:0:060001DA:90:501:Finish round with 90% Now! (2/3)
galpans2:0:060001DB:00:501:Finish round with 90% Now! (3/3)
galpans2:0:060001D9:00:001:Finish round with 80% Now! (1/3)
galpans2:0:060001DA:80:501:Finish round with 80% Now! (2/3)
galpans2:0:060001DB:00:501:Finish round with 80% Now! (3/3)
Note: I've tested the codes above, they seem to work just fine. They can also easily be modified if one wants something like 83 or 96%, but I'd rather do a value-select code, so it wouldn't junk up the list, just imagine the clutter... (this is the same reason I didn't do 101-119% along with them as well)
"Hey, there's no 120% there at all!" you say. Well then, let me show you this... (note, it's still a code in "beta stages"...)
Code:
galpans2:0:060001D9:01:001:Finish round with 120% Now! (1/3)
galpans2:0:060001DA:20:501:Finish round with 120% Now! (2/3)
galpans2:0:060001DB:00:501:Finish round with 120% Now! (3/3)
The reason I didn't put it up there is because it yields quite unexpected results, and I'm sure it's not really finishing the round with 120% at all, but the effects still remain interesting, nonetheless. If you use this, regardless of whether or not you've accomplished EXTRA CHANGE or what you've highlighted or items you've collected, it will claim that you've gotten 100% clear, then it will go on to give you the 90-99% normal "SHOW TIME" rather than DX. Also, the mugshot in the GALS SELECT screen is silvered, but rather than your percentage showing up at the bottom of the mugshot, you see a slightly off-color Korean Ka(neko) logo in the middle of it, instead. Lastly, it credits you as having gotten 100% still, since you unlock a new stage every time, until all 4 bottom ones have been opened. Thus, you get the still picture while the game still says you got 100%, and an odd mugshot in the select screen, ending with one more unlocked stage, in summary.
So, the case is still open as to how to really get the golden 120%, I'm assuming special conditions are needed for it, for info, read on...
Possible Hypotheses: 100% involves getting the whole silhouette highlighted -or- boxing up the stage enemy while they're in a non-silhouette part, but maybe the non-silhouette part itself counts as the remaining 20%? Or perhaps a trick involving the EXTRA CHANGE coins and/or the Telephone Item, or even one of the power ups floating around on the occasion, might bring the player to a full 120%? A combination of both? Hmmm...
Oh, and as a bonus, cheats for the original S included, at no extra charge. I'd like to thank the talented individual who made the original 100% code.
Code:
galpanis:0:06014FA1:00:001:Finish round with 90% Now! (1/3)
galpanis:0:06014FA2:90:501:Finish round with 90% Now! (2/3)
galpanis:0:06014FA3:00:501:Finish round with 90% Now! (3/3)
galpanis:0:06014FA1:00:001:Finish round with 80% Now! (1/3)
galpanis:0:06014FA2:80:501:Finish round with 80% Now! (2/3)
galpanis:0:06014FA3:00:501:Finish round with 80% Now! (3/3)
There is no 120% in this game, to my knowledge (unlike GPS2, this one doesn't say anything about it in Attract Mode).
EDIT: Moved the request to
it's own thread.
Lastly, before I close, I wonder if creating a value select-based code for all this is possible. I'll try looking into making both "on-cheat-window" based and "brings up a window where you can choose the value" based codes. If someone could make that before I figure out how to do so myself (it'll be through an accident most likely, ha ha), it'd be much appreciated.
Oh, yes, and is it possible to somehow save the keys that you binded to codes, or to include such a function in a future version of the cheat engine?
Thanks in advance.
